The U.S. Commercial Service, located at the American Embassy in Lisbon, is working with Turismo de Portugal to have the American flag lit in the Portuguese monuments for the 4th of July.  As a reciprocity act, we would also like to have some monuments, buildings, bridges with the Portuguese flag lit for Portugal day, on June 10th, especially in some States that are home to large Portuguese communities.

This is an excellent opportunity to promote trans-Atlantic tourism.

This celebrates not only Portugal, but also the end of the pandemic and (hopefully soon) the opening of tourism between our two nations.  We have so much to celebrate!
